How do You make pumpkin stencils from a picture?
I would like to make pumpkins stencils of pictures i have taken with my digi cam.Is there an art program that can turn my picture into a pumkin patern that i can then print out and carve my pumpkin?
Use a pin! You put your picture up to the pumpkin & "trace" it using a pin prick outlining your picture. When you are done you should have the picture "transfered" with little pin holes. Then you use a knife to connect your pin hole lines!

you must get your mind set on positive and negative images .First I would blow up the picture as large as I could get it.Cut away anything that’s not important with an exato knife Leave the important images you want to show on the pumpkin.Remember you must have "bridges" to hold the pattern together.If you cut out the pattern, and it falls apart,you know you must have "bridges" or tabs to hold the pattern together. With experimenting you will find an image that will represent the important parts of your photo.
